The landscape of economic, social and environmental issues, especially in developing countries, calls for new, creative and innovative approaches. Increasingly constrained governments alone cannot solve these challenges, neither can traditional profit-maximizing businesses. My findings suggest that there is a new generation of creative entrepreneurs ready to take matters into their own hands. They are setting the trends that will impact a more sustainable and prosperous future.

With this publication, commissioned by the Inter-American Development Bank, I am excited to share their stories and draw attention to Latin America and the Caribbean as the next creativity hub. The book aims to shed some light on the role of innovation in business especially in the creative sectors. It showcases the types of enterprises driving change, and the doers behind them. The goal is to influence a shift in the way we think of creativity in business and the impact that we can make.
