Creativity, entrepreneurship and technology are intersecting in Puerto Rico as the country finds new ways to spur economic development and social impact. The publication Puerto Rico Creativo is a collaboration with two public institutions, Puerto Rico Trade and Export Company and Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust, looking to generate a cohesive narrative around the multiple efforts leading Puerto Rico’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Its main objectives are:
Document the evolution of entrepreneurship and the creative economy in the country
Exemplify innovative start-up models for value creation
Identify challenges and opportunities in the ecosystem
Generate more interconnections among its key players
Continue driving progress that propels economic and social impact via entrepreneurship and innovation
As the author, my goal is to ignite more conversation, as well as influence action for local talent to build innovative solutions to the pressing challenges they are facing. I aim to educate and generate visibility to support this ecosystem as a key asset that can bring wealth creation and sustainable prosperity that accounts for people and planet beyond profits.
